As it is operated solely by volunteers, the South Yorkshire Transport Museum is only open to the public for one day per month. Every second Sunday of the month we will be holding our themed 'Open Days' and this is your chance to take a look around. Otherwise it is a case of prior appointments for vehicle hire, School visits, Corporate visits etc.

On working days, without a prior appointment, there is the chance that the volunteers would be unable to show you around. This is not us being rude but to simply make sure that we keep you safe from harm - as the working days can have machinery in use, vehicles being worked on inside the museum and vehicle movements.

The volunteers are delighted by your interest but have to look out for your safety.

Just a few photos of what we do here at the Museum and how we want to keep everyone safe.
