Access & Facilities
A ramp is available to access the museum via the main entrance.
Both of our display halls are accessible to wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
A wheelchair accessible toilet is available in our main display hall close to the entrance and cafe.
Our mezzanine display area is accessible by a stairlift.
Stairlift installation Supported by South Yorkshire Community Foundation.
Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the museum.
Free Car Park
The museum has its own free car park including marked disabled spaces close to the entrance.
On certain open days car parking is also provided in neighbouring car parks.
Our cafe has seating for around 30 visitors and serves hot & cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
Our main reception also houses our shop stocking items of transport nature such as books, models and photographs. Additionally there are also many low priced items such as key rings, badges and pocket money priced items for younger visitors.
